Job Description

Hundred Acre Wood Forest Preschool is looking for Registered Early Childhood Educator teachers to join our team.  If you are an ECE (or teacher, or with equivalent professional experience) who is passionate about nature-based learning, and you love taking little ones outside All THE TIME, then read on!

We are a licensed non-profit preschool centre in Heathcote ON.  We have a capacity of 5 toddlers (one class) and 16 preschoolers (2 classes) and 8 kindergarteners.  We are situated on 100 acres of meadow and forested land, with an indoor facility that reflects our outdoor learning philosophy.  Our staff love coming to work!  The location has a view that takes your breath away every morning.  We get to be outside and hear the joys of children's laughter.  Our team works together to keep our centre running smoothly and are often brainstorming ways that we can better serve our purpose, while staying in-line with our values.  Staff at Hundred Acre Wood are creative, committed and take initiative.  We love it when someone joins the team and dives right in - wiping muddy faces and floors!

There is flexibility in terms of days of work each week.  The ideal candidate will be open to working in the toddler program, the preschool program, and the kindergarten program.  As an educator, you will deliver a program that is emergent and nature-based, and meets the requirements of the regulatory bodies overseeing Early Years Childhood Education in Ontario.
